The Greene County Schools board of education will hold a special meeting Wednesday, March 6, at 5:15 pm in the conference room at the administrative building, 204W. Madison St, Jefferson.
The board will approve the contract for the construction of the new high school and career academy.
Henkel Construction was the apparent low bidder when bids were opened Feb. 20. The board delayed awarding the bid in order to ask if the company had any cost-cutting alternatives to what was specified in bid documents. The board at the time planned to award the bid at the March 13 regular meeting, which would have still been within the 30-day period the bid was valid.
